Anyone can refer - i.e. self, family, friend, other agency, criminal court, etc.
Eligibility / Target Population
The Court Diversion service is available to individuals, 16 years of age and older, with a serious mental illness/dual diagnosis or brain injury, who are in conflict with the law.

Description of Services:
Provides services to persons living with a serious and persistent mental illness, dual diagnosis (intellectual disability and mental health issues) or concurrent disorder who are in conflict with the criminal justice system.
Services provided include:
Case managers may assist consumers through referrals, advocacy, appointments, housing needs and securing appropriate benefits. This program does not provide legal advice.

- Pre-charge diversion
- Post-charge diversion
- Release from custody
- Shor term case Management

Program staff available at the provincial court house in Peterborough when the court is sitting or can be reached at the CMHA Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge main office at 705-748-6711.
