Local agency of Community Care Northumberland.
- A multi-service, volunteer based community support organization serving residents in Brighton with the delivery of the following programs and services:
- Friendly Visiting
- Community Diners (see separate listing)
- Home at Last
- Home Help and Home Maintenance Programs
- Hospice Palliative Care Programs and Bereavement Support (1-855-473-8875)

- Meals on Wheels Programs, hot and frozen meal options
- Personal Distress Alarms

- Transportation Services
- Accessible Transportation (866-768-7778)
- Wellness, Social and Recreational Programs for Seniors
- Social Group for senior men and women. Call for more information.
- Friendly Visiting Volunteer provided on a one to one basis to visit on a regular basis * visit activities may be playing cards, walks, crafts, conversation * volunteers are screened * can provide service for persons with dementia
- Home At Last - Hospital Transition Program Transitional supports when being discharged from hospitals in Northumberland County
- Home Help and Maintenance Program Assistance with light cleaning * shopping * meal preparation
- Hospice Palliative Care Program - Visiting Hospice Service Trained volunteers provide emotional, psychological, spiritual and social supports
- Meals On Wheels Nutritious hot or frozen meals are delivered during the noon hour by volunteers to the person's home * special diets can be accommodated
- Personal Distress Alarms Medical alert system * allows older adults and people with disabilities to call for assistance using a help button * 24-hour emergency response
- Specialized Transportation - Accessible and Rural Services Rural transportation within Northumberland County. Accessible transportation for people with physical and or functional disabilities. Clients must be pre-registered before using the system. Curb to curb service. Fee involved.
- Support and Care for Caregivers Assistance with the on-going responsibilities of caregivers who are caring for a loved one, friend or neighbor * peer support and discussion for caregivers and family and friends to share coping strategies and information on resources
- Telephone Reassurance Calls Regular telephone contact provided in order to provide reassurance and arrange for assistance if necessary * normally short five minute calls at regular, prearranged times or when family and friends are away
